The Italian Data Buoy Network.

(RON - Rete Ondametrica Nazionale)

The italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) - Telecom Italia and Envirtech signed the contract to deploy and maintain  the new italian data buoy network (also known as RON). The  contract will consent to implement the new permanent italian data buoy network around the italian coasts, able to monitor meteorologic data, directional waves and others sea motion, chemical and physical  parameters. The network will be able to be  upgraded to monitor water quality and sea currents data without changing the buoys platforms.
