Envirtech completed the building of the deep ocean   bottom  stations, Poseidon Class,  and related relay buoys  to implement the South China Sea Tsunami Warning System

An Envirtech enginner complete tsunameter assembly in the Venice facility.

The two benthic stations and related buoys are ready to be shipped  to China.
Built in the new Envirtech facility located in Venice (Italy) will be deployed in the South China Sea on a seabed 4,500 meters depth.

The new Italian Directional Waves  Buoys Network

Rome April 17th, 2009

The Italian environment agency - ISPRA - Telecom Italia and Envirtech signed the contract to deploy and maintain  the new italian directional waves buoys network (RON). The  contract will consent to implement the new permanent buoys network around the italian coast, able to monitor meteorologic data, directional waves and others sea motion related parameters. The network will be able to be  upgraded to monitor water quality and sea currents data without changing the buoys platforms.

 

Tsunami Warning System

We designed effective, high reliability Tsunami Warning System starting registered tsunami after the eruption in Stromboli in December 2002 (our TWS presentation for United Nation, ESCAP, Bangkok  Pdf 6.7 Mb).

Our system  has been based on multisensor (both seismic wide spectrum, and pressure gauges) deep ocean platforms.  Sea bottom acquired data is relayed via surface buoys to a Control Center, using Inmarsat mini-C Transceivers on board the buoys - Tsunami Alert/Alarm bulletins are dispatched via Inmarsat EGC Fleetnet, SafetyNET, NavTEX, GSM/GPRS, Fax, voice and Internet.   (Data Sheet)
